New paper comes from trees and becomes recycled paper
sustainability is a very important issue in modern communication industry. Companies and brands have to make the choice between reaching clients and fans through digital channels fast or reaching a carefully selected audience through printed pieces.
The environment and the impact of the communication should be taken into that considderation.
Paper is an excellent choice when it comes to the environment.

Environmental policy ISO 14001
Drukkerij Aeroprint is a graphic design company. Our core business is providing communication products in the broadest sense. The needs of our customers and other stakeholders are key indicators of our corporate policy. They help determine the decisions we, as management, make to remain a well-functioning and competitive company. A well-known social issue facing us is the ever-increasing need of our customers for more sustainably produced products and services. The responsible use of raw materials and consumables and the management of generated industrial waste are important components of this.
Management is aware that production activities can have a negative impact on the environment. We therefore consider it our social responsibility to keep our immediate environment livable, now and in the future. Therefore, we strive to keep our production process as clean as possible and will make every effort to do so.
Aeroprint Printing aims to achieve this by implementing and maintaining an environmental management system that complies with the ISO 14001:2015 standard, FSC. Management will allocate sufficient time and resources to achieve this primary objective.
The main general environmental objectives within our sustainability policy are:
-
General:
- Compliance with all laws and regulations relevant to our company, in particular compliance with environmental law.
- Within the framework of the integrated supply chain approach, we work with our customers and suppliers to assess, as much as possible, where less harmful techniques can be used in the design phase and production process, in order to achieve the most sustainable production possible.
- We encourage customers to use sustainably produced paper types as much as possible: FSC.
- Using sustainable packaging materials, such as at least 80% recycled cardboard.
-
CO2 and Energy
- Energy reduction through the use of the Energy RI&E Creative Industry and fulfilling the Information Obligation by means of the Approved Measures List (EML)
- Annually mapping (and structurally reducing) the CO2 footprint of our organization and individual productions through Energy RI&E Creative Industry.
- Encourage the use of sustainable transport for employees where possible to reduce fleet emissions.
-
Management of (hazardous) substances
- Use of less environmentally and health-damaging raw and auxiliary materials for the production of printed matter (in particular substances with H-phrases prohibited by the MVI standard).
- Application of sustainable inks: inks low in mineral oils.
- Make maximum use of cleaning agents that evaporate
less quickly (class K3 and High Boiling Solvents). - Producing printed matter with a maximum IPA percentage of 5% vol. and IPA-free printed matter.
- Application of low-chemistry Computer to Plate (CtP) technology to minimize the use of chemicals in the printing process.
-
Waste and waste reduction
- Careful separation and disposal of hazardous and other industrial waste, so that it can be processed optimally (circular economy).
-
Awareness
- Employee awareness of their responsibility towards the environment.
- Promoting customer-side knowledge regarding sustainable development of products and packaging.
A well-functioning environmental management system can only be achieved with positive input from everyone within our organization. It is therefore crucial that all colleagues and employees understand the scope of our sustainability policy. We will therefore continue to focus on awareness, information, and training.
In order to maintain the quality of our environmental management system, internal audits will be carried out periodically to assess the level of environmental awareness on the work floor. (good housekeeping), compliance with applicable laws and regulations (legal audit) and the actual functioning of our management system. Based on the results obtained from internal audits, management will annually assess the actual environmental performance achieved against previously established objectives. (Core Performance Indicators).
Upon request, we will inform our external stakeholders (particularly customers, local government, suppliers, and banks) about our environmental performance. Open dialogue with our stakeholders enables our organization to work towards further sustainability in an economically responsible way.
